GET TO KNOW ME

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I come to this work after pursuing a lifelong passion of helping others in their healing journey.  I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology, and a Master's degree in Professional Counseling with an Emphasis in Trauma, both of which I completed at Grand Canyon University.

In addition to my formal studies, I have volunteered with my local fire department's Crisis Response team for 9 years, which has allowed me the opportunity to provide comfort to individuals across all walks of life.  I have also been a long-time volunteer with my church, providing mentoring and care for women in crisis.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, children and my dogs, as well as reading & gardening.

I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan, and it is my privilege to provide a biblical approach to my clients who are seeking to integrate their Christian faith in the therapeutic process.  I am passionate about the importance of the therapeutic relationship and its ability to help individuals heal and find hope in their future.

I have been trained in and have experience in providing EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach to treating a multitude of mental health challenges. You can read more about EMDR HERE. I also have completed trainings on Internal Family Systems, Attachment, Emotion-Focused therapy, and Grief.

I feel honored that God chose me for this path, and have personally seen the transformation that only He can do.  Wherever you are in your own walk, I welcome the opportunity to work with you to find joy, healing, and hope.
